What is Bitstamp?

Bitstamp is a centralized cryptocurrency exchange headquartered in Luxemburg.

Bitstamp was co-founded by Nejc Kodrich and Damian Merlak, and its current CEO is Julian Sawyer. Julian was the co-founder of Starling Bank and established an extensive career in traditional finance. In addition to becoming CEO of Bitstamp, Julian is also an adviser to the board of Volt, a leading challenger bank in Australia, and an honorary senior visiting scholar at the School of Management, School of Business, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences.
