Binance Spot Launches TWAP (Time-Weighted Average Price) on API | Binance Support
This is a general announcement. Products and services referred to here may not be available in your region.
Fellow Binancians,
Binance Spot has launched the Time-Weighted Average Price (TWAP) trading algorithm for API users. Using this feature, users can now disperse a large order on Binance Spot into smaller quantities, and execute them at regular intervals to minimize price impact. For more information, please refer to the Binance API Documentation.
What Is TWAP?
TWAP (Time-Weighted Average Price) is the average price calculated over a period of time. The TWAP trading algorithm aims to execute a trade over a user-specified period of time so that the average execution price is close to the time-weighted average price of that period.
How to Set Up a TWAP Strategy?
Determine the trade size, which is the total amount of crypto you want to buy or sell. The minimum TWAP strategy trade size on Binance is equivalent to 1,000 USDT. When a TWAP strategy completes all orders, the TWAP order will stop.
Select the targeted TWAP execution period. Users can select between five minutes and 24 hours.
