This Dogechain cross-chain protocol is critical for linking the original Dogecoin blockchain to Dogechain. The protocol requires a 1:1 ratio of $DOGE coins to enter or exit the Dogechain. When a user pegs their Dogecoin to DogeChain, the DogeChain protocol mints a wrapped $DOGE token ($wDOGE).
