VIDT Datalink is a data verification platform supported by blockchain. The project aims to securely authenticate and secure all digital assets, so fraud and errors no longer hold back innovation in digitization. The project raised ~$3.25MM through private and public token sales and was co-founded by Marnix van den Berg, Pim Voets, Ceciel van Helden and Wico van Helden.
VIDT Datalink runs on the Ethereum blockchain and its utility token, VIDT, is issued on Ethereum as an ERC-20 token.
Any user can register a file on the VIDT Datalink platform, which will create a hash corresponding to this particular file, which will then be stored on the blockchain of the user's choice. Since any change in a file makes its hash significantly different, the V-ID platform can easily detect any file tampering on behalf of the user.
V-ID Token (VIDT) is the payment method in the V-ID platform. It can be used to publish transactions that record file hashes, timestamps, personal and corporate wallet addresses, and more.
