Secret Network is a decentralized computer network (ie: secret nodes) that uses hardware- and software-based privacy technologies to achieve computer security. Developers can build Secret Apps — unstoppable, permissionless applications that can leverage encrypted data without exposing the data itself, even to nodes in the network that perform computations.
SCRT (Secret) is the native token of Secret Network, which can be used to pay fees and transfer value on the network. Secret nodes must pledge SCRT to run on the network, and in return, they can receive SCRT fees and network rewards. When nodes go offline, they may be "chopped", losing a portion of SCRT's equity. SCRT holders who are not operating nodes can "bond" their stake to a specific node to become a delegate. Delegates have the opportunity to earn a share of fees and network rewards by supporting a specific set of validators.
