ResearchHub's mission is to accelerate the pace of scientific research. Its goal is to make a modern mobile and web application where people can collaborate on scientific research in a more efficient way, similar to what GitHub did to software engineering.
ResearchCoin (RSC) is a newly created ERC20 token that helps bring this nascent community together and incentivizes contributions to the platform. Users can earn RSC by uploading new content to the platform, as well as summarizing and discussing research. Contributions are rewarded proportional to how much the community deems the action worth—measured in staking.
ResearchCoin is also tied to reputation on the platform - reputation is seen as a user's lifetime ResearchCoin earnings minus losses due to downsizing. Reputation is tied to certain privileges within the application and is also a moderation mechanism within the community.
