Presearch is an open, decentralized search engine that rewards community members with Presearch Tokens for using, contributing and promoting the platform.

Project Introduction

Presearch is building this open, decentralized search engine. We clearly pre-set the ground rules and user expectations, and never deviate from our community structure. Presearch is a thorough community exercise, akin to Wikipedia. Human curation is an important strategy to combine with scalable machine learning methods. The curation and overall development of this platform is incentivized by PRE (Presearch Token) exchangeable tokens to reward participants for their efforts. In beta, it's more of a search tool than a search engine, and users can choose the engine they search for from a pre-search interface. Google is the default option, minimizing switching costs for most users who already use Google. Users can use other engines, including DuckDuckGo, social search engines, domain name WHOIS engines, and more.

Presearch funds operations through a transparent, unobtrusive advertising system that allows advertisers to bid on keywords and sponsor search results. In the first version, relevant ads would appear in the search box and automatically suggest search results. Ads are purchased through PREs via an auction, driving usage within the ecosystem.

About PRE (Presearch Token)

PRE (Presearch Token) is a key medium of exchange in the presearch ecosystem and can be used for the following purposes:

1. Reward members for using, contributing, and promoting the platform
2. Buy sponsorship and promotional ads
3. Reward partners who provide traffic and visibility for Presearch
4. Provide opinions on community affairs
5. Funding community development projects

Rewards and Incentives

Members who use the pre-check system will be rewarded with tokens. Using Advance Search will provide a base level of rewards, with increased rewards provided by sponsored engines that will be able to pay for more usage. Sponsored suggestions will be matched to keywords, and members who click on the sponsored link and let the sponsor try to solve the member's needs will be rewarded.

Members can also reward other members, especially those involved in listed development projects. Members will also be incentivized to share the platform with their network and will be able to earn rewards for new signups. These rewards will be tracked in the form of points that can be converted into PREs.

In addition to rewards for using the platform, PRE tokens will be given to data scientists who develop popular pre-search algorithms, information managers, interface designers, and those who run web crawlers and index nodes.
