PowerPool is a protocol that provides a convenient solution for pooling governance tokens. With it, token holders can lend, pool, and borrow governance tokens in an Ethereum-based protocol to earn income and accumulate governance capabilities. PowerPool's mission is to increase the utility of governance tokens to benefit all end users, providing a stronger and more robust decision-making system for the DeFi ecosystem.
CVP is PowerPool's native governance token and has the following use cases:
Voting on platform governance (parameter changes of supported liquidity pools, collateral types, liquidity mining reward distribution, etc.).
Voting determines how aggregated governance tokens vote for each governance decision in supported protocols.
The PowerPool protocol consists of the following components working together:
Power Index: A community-managed decentralized financial index utilizing aggregated governance tokens for meta-governance and implementing fund management strategies. The Power Index Pool Token (PIPT) is a token that represents a share within the index.
Power Oracle: A distributed cross-chain price oracle using Uniswap V2 as the main data source for time-weighted average price (TWAP). Power Oracle allows token holders to stake CVP, request and record data from oracles, and receive CVP rewards in return.
