Po.et is a shared, open, and universal ledger designed to record metadata and ownership information of digital creative assets (including but not limited to text, images, and videos). Po.et is based on proof of existence and is a non-financial application on the blockchain. By creating an open platform on the Bitcoin blockchain, Po.et aims to be a B-side, globally verifiable digital media asset recording platform. This record will be a framework for building intelligent, interoperable media applications using a shared, standard, and extensible metadata format. Po.et was incubated by BTC media, which is the world's first English-language blockchain media, Bitcoinmagazine. Bitcoinmagazine is the first batch of beta users of Po.et. Po.et tokens are used to incentivize users to create, publish and record content.
