NOIA started out as a decentralized distributed P2P content delivery network (CDN) startup. It secured funding from institutional investors, built a team of world-class engineers, experts and consultants, and delivered the first open source technology - NOIA Cache. It has attracted over 9000 community members and installed over 5000 nodes. It currently holds over 25TB in NOIA Cache nodes and serves content to many websites.
Later, NOIA introduced the concept of Programmable Internet. NOIA combined the Segment Routing protocol, distributed ledger technology and built a proof of concept (PoC). NOIA will release its digital commodity token in mid-2019 to allow infrastructure providers and buyers to trade their internet transportation capacity on the Decentralized Internet Transportation Exchange (DITEX).
