Maecenas is an art investment platform, which aims to use blockchain technology to bring the characteristics of high efficiency and circulation of the capital market into the art market. The platform provides real-time market feedback, as well as primary and secondary markets, allowing investors to partially own artworks that can be traded in real time. Specifically, the task of Maecenas is to match art collectors and investors, create a fair and open market, reduce transaction costs, and make the traditional market transparent and open. Any investor can acquire a partial stake in the art treasure.
ART is the token of the Maecenas economy and can be used to perform different platform functions, issue digital shares of paintings, run smart contracts, reward galleries, museums, art asset managers and other partners.

Transparent, broad and fair
Traditional auction houses charge 25% of sales as rebates, while galleries charge 50%. Our platform only has 1% for buyers and 8% for sellers. Also, Mecenas does not charge storage fees and lock-up periods. You have complete freedom to trade tokens on circulating exchanges.

We are named after Gaius Mecenas, the famous Roman artist protector, in order to reflect Maecenas' desire to bring fine art to the masses rather than the super rich Spirit.
