LikeCoin Ecosystem Elements

Creative Content
Digital photographs, illustrations, articles, footage or sound clips. In contrast to private data, creative content allows others to use it under certain copyright conditions, such as Creative Commons. In the LikeCoin ecosystem, each creative content is represented by a unique content fingerprint. In the example above, A.jpg, B.txt, and C.doc are all creative content.
Content Creator
A person who creates creative content. Alice, Bob, and Carol are all content creators.
Service Providers
Websites or applications that support the LikeCoin protocol by including the LikeCoin attribution agreement and/or the new Like key. In the example above, Apple.io, Banana.com, Cherry.net, and Durian.org are all LikeCoin service providers.
Derivative Works
Take one or more creative content created by yourself or other content creators on the same or another service provider to generate new creative content. C.doc is a derivative work.
Content Derivatives
Creators and service providers who create derivative works. Carol is the Content Spinner.
Content Source
The creative content from which the Derivative Work is derived. A content source can itself have a content source of its own. A.jpg and B.txt are the content sources of C.doc.
Original Content
Creative content without a content source. In other words, creative content that is not a derivative work. Both A.jpg and B.txt are original content.
Original Creators
Content creators and service providers who create original content. Both Alice and Bob are original authors.
Distribute Content
Use unmodified creative content created by another creator within the same or another service provider. The A.jpg posted to Durian.org is the distribution.
Content Distributor Content creators and service providers who distribute content. Both David and Durian.org are content distributors. In the LikeCoin ecosystem, original creators and content adopters obtain LikeCoin from the creator's library or the audience's own wallet, content adopters, and content distributors through proof of creativity. This profit sharing mechanism is the key to incentivize content creators and service providers to adopt the LikeCoin protocol.
