EDNA is a blockchain-based biotech organization working to ensure that an individual's DNA belongs to the individual, not the government or a multinational megacorporation. EDNA has two branches: The Laboratory, which runs a secure sequencing service, allows users to store DNA 100% anonymously and securely on the blockchain, and earn passive profits based on their choice. The second branch, DAC, is a community that manages laboratories, and it is made up of scientists, genetics committee members, and biohacking experts. Together, they run the lab, help users understand their own DNA, negotiate contracts with outside research groups for profit and conduct in-house research to advance genetics.
