XDAG was born in 2017. It is a new generation of public chain based on the directed acyclic graph (DAG) infrastructure, a DAG+POW mineable project. While maintaining high concurrency, XDAG solves the triangular contradiction (decentralization, security and high performance) that the current blockchain cannot solve. The transaction confirmation on the XDAG chain is fast, the application scenarios are wide, and the space for development is large. Theoretically, the tps is close to unlimited. From 2020 to 2021, with the successful completion of the Apollo program and the advancement of the Mars program, XDAG ushered in the era of smart contracts.
The original author retired shortly after the creation of XDAG. Since 2018, community enthusiasts from all over the world have spontaneously organized development, maintenance and dissemination based on the greatest consensus. XDAG has no project party, no ICO, no private placement, and no pre-mining. It is a new generation of blockchain that truly adheres to the concept of decentralization.
Dagger (XDAG coin) is a new cryptocurrency. It is based on a directed acyclic graph (DAG) rather than a blockchain (BlockChain), and unlike other DAG-oriented cryptocurrencies, XDAG can be mined.
Each block (Block, referred to as a block) in the DAG has a maximum of 15 links (inputs and outputs) to other blocks. If we can reach block B from the link of block A, then we say that block B is referenced by block A. A series of blocks referenced by previous blocks is called a chain. A chain is said to be distinct if each block of the chain belongs to a separate 64-second interval. The difficulty of a block (Difficulty_of_block) is 1/hash. hash=sha256(sha256(block)), represented by little-endian number (a digital storage format). Blocks in the main chain are called main blocks (main_blocks).
Daggers are mined every main block. In the first 4 years, 1024 XDAG can be mined per main block. In the second 4 years, 512, and so on, the output is halved every 4 years. Therefore, the total output of XDAG is about 2^32. Each dagger is equal to 2^32 cheatoshino (Translator's Note: The smallest unit of Bitcoin, satoshi, comes from Satoshi in the name of the founder Satoshi Nakamoto. The founder of XDAG is Daniel Cheatoshin, so Cheatoshin is used as the smallest unit of XDAG). A transaction is valid if it is referenced by the main block. Valid transactions are arranged strictly in the order of links on the main chain. Doublespending is prohibited, since only the first transaction of the concurrency (in that order) is applied.
Security
An ECDSA algorithm with a 256-bit private key is used for signatures to confirm the wallet owner's ownership of the
tokens in their address. All data transmitted in the mainframe is encrypted using the author's semisymmetric encryption algorithm. The transmission of the session key uses the RSA algorithm with an 8192-bit key.
