Stkr is a decentralized staking protocol platform, which adds elements such as non-custodial, micro-pool, instant liquidity and decentralized governance to traditional staking. ANKR tokens can be used to pay for fees on the platform; paying for infrastructure to initiate processes. In order to become a qualified provider, providers must pledge ANKR as collateral. They are also rewarded for staking (rewards are sent in ANKR tokens). If the provider is no longer responsive, the underlying smart contract will detect this immediately and they lose their deposit. Stkr governors need to maintain a certain amount of ANKR tokens pledged to retain membership. Each governor will have equal weight in the platform's decision-making votes, regardless of the amount of their pledge.
