Topic Goal: To increase adoption, awareness and use of the Request Network ecosystem by creating applications on top of the protocol.
The App Development topic will track all developments currently in progress (or delivered) that contribute to the development and delivery of successful financial applications utilizing the Requests Network protocol. For simplicity, this theme only tracks development by direct team members and does not show external community development.
Several application development teams consisting of product managers, agile coaches, and team members work on iterations of the use cases stated earlier in our mind map. These teams will be supported by the Foundation through intellectual and operational support, with the goal of becoming a self-sustaining business with a legitimate business model and market plan.
The development goals listed under the App Development topic currently focus on:
- Provide crowdfunding application
- Provide payment application
- Provide accounting application
This roadmap will always contribute to the long-term Request Network Foundation mission. We reinvent the way we experience payments in the financial industry, rebuild trust and integrity, and be at the forefront of financial inclusion. We encourage and educate companies, developers and entrepreneurs to use the request network protocol and work together to build an open source, seamless and interoperable ecosystem of financial applications in a more global economy.
Topic goal: Create an open-source, interoperable blockchain protocol for financial applications, exploited by application developers without permission
The protocol development topic will track all developments currently in progress (or already delivered) that directly contribute to the protocol of the request network. The request web protocol will serve as the engine on which request web applications will run. It provides app developers with all the decentralized tools they need to build their own financial apps without third-party licensing.
Development here contributes to the theme's goals, improves the robustness of the core and extension layers, and is executed by the foundation's core development team. The development goals listed under the development theme of the Protocol currently focus on:
- Increased data privacy and security
- Expansion of protocol extensions and functionality
- Enable interoperability and scaling.
